Can you tell us about yourself and your background?
I’m a Loan Management Officer, responsible for overseeing financials across the various stages of loan origination, ensuring borrowers meet the requirements of their loan contracts.
I’ve been with Pallas Capital since July 2023, joining the Loan Management team as Loan Management Officer.
My career in finance started six years ago at a bank, where I first discovered my interest in residential lending. The opportunity to be part of a borrower’s journey, from buying their first home to expanding their property portfolio, has always inspired me. When the chance to explore the non-bank lending space presented itself, I knew I had to take it and I’ve never looked back since.
How did you come to be part of the Pallas Capital team?
I was looking for the next step in my career and was intrigued by the Loan Management position at Pallas Capital. It offered a perfect blend of my skills in settlement and an opportunity to delve deeper into Credit and Origination.
What does a typical workday look like for you at Pallas Capital?
In Loan Management, there’s no such thing as a typical day!
My role consists of completing figures for new settlements, calculating payout figures for repayments as well as monitoring critical covenants to ensure our borrowers are meeting the requirements of their loan contracts.
What has been your highlight at Pallas Capital so far?
Being given the opportunity to attend the Australian Open and F1 with Pallas has been a highlight. As an avid sports fan, it’s incredible to see our hard work recognised and rewarded with these extra-curricular activities.
What are some of your proudest achievements or milestones during your time at Pallas Capital?
Managing the New Zealand portfolio exclusively has been a proud milestone. Adapting to the differences in New Zealand processes and working with the team has been a rewarding challenge. The New Zealand team are a delight to work with and I’m enjoying learning and expanding my knowledge of an overseas market.
What aspects of Pallas Capital’s culture do you find most inspiring or unique? How does the company support your professional growth?
I admire Pallas Capital’s commitment to professional growth and their preference to hire internally before advertising positions. It’s empowering to know that our leaders back us to thrive and succeed, making growth a focus and priority.
Looking ahead, what are your professional goals and aspirations within Pallas Capital? How do you see yourself contributing to the company’s future success?
I am currently completing my Bachelor of Business & Finance, and I aim to use my degree to further develop my career at Pallas Capital. My next step is to level up to a Credit Analyst, as I believe this role is crucial to the business and will provide me with a better understanding of the pre-settlement process.
