Can you tell us about yourself and your background?
I’m a Client Services Manager at Pallas Capital, responsible for managing our investor platform, trade capture and reconciliation.
I’ve worked in financial services for the past six years. Most recently, I was part of a team creating, testing and implementing a new ETF platform for a multi-national bank servicing large-scale Australian clients. Prior to that, I was in a support and administration role with Global Macro Hedge Fund.
In varying capacities, I’ve been involved with fund management services throughout my career. This includes trade management, investment accounting, valuations, cash forecasting and corporate action administration services.
How did you come to be part of the Pallas Capital team?
I was recommended directly to Pallas Capital through a mutual friend, who is also an investor.
What does a typical workday look like for you at Pallas Capital?
My days are spent liaising personally with Pallas Capital clients, as well as members of our Distribution team. I’m responsible for the Client Services team, who look after our clients from the onboarding process right through to redemptions and payments.
We also carry out the due diligence and KYC checks for each of our investors, under the rules of our ASFL and regulatory bodies. My remaining free time is spent following up potential leads for new investors and looking after the clients I currently service.
Ultimately, it’s about ensuring the best client experience possible.
What has been your highlight at Pallas Capital so far?
The people. I’ve really enjoyed working in such a fun, inclusive and welcoming environment. I consider my colleagues as friends and have built some great relationships.
I’ve also enjoyed rolling out our new investment platform (ADAX) and all the efficiencies and benefits that have come from it.
What are your personal goals for 2021 outside of Pallas Capital?
I’ll be competing in the Ironman 70.3 Western Sydney and Ironman 70.3 Port Macquarie, with the hope to get to the full Ironman distance in 2022.
Beyond that, I’m currently completing a General Assembly course in Data Analytics/Data Science which I see as an invaluable skill in the future.
I’m also keen to keep growing my investor base and bringing in new investors.
