A spectacular day of sailing at the Pallas Cup 2025

On Friday 7 of March, the team at Pallas Capital set sail once again, hosting over 70 of our valued clients for an exclusive afternoon on the iconic Sydney Harbour.

The fleet of eight TP52s took to the water under near-perfect conditions. A steady 15-knot south-easterly breeze filled the sails, while patches of light air around the headland markers added just the right touch of challenge to test the skill and strategy of every crew.

From the first gun to the final tack, the racing was fierce, with every boat believing they had what it took to claim the coveted Pallas Cup. Crews pushed their limits in an exhilarating display of precision, teamwork, and determination. The ever-changing conditions kept everyone on their toes, rewarding those who mastered the wind shifts and seized their opportunities.

Back onshore, post-race tales grew taller by the minute—every crew convinced they were just moments away from victory. But in the end, there could only be one winner: the crew of First Light seized the glory, the silverware, and the all-important bragging rights for another year!

The race was followed by a champagne celebration and presentation of the winning crew at the Club by Pallas Capital Executive Director, Craig Bannister and President of the TP52 Class Association and Captain of Quest, Craig Neil.

Peter White of First Light, David Doherty of Matador and Marcus Blackmore of Hooligan were all awarded with 1st, 2nd and 3rd trophies, a bottle of French champagne and $200 Zhik gift voucher. The Pallas Cup was filled with French Champagne for a celebratory spray by Craig Bannister.

A huge thank you to the sailors, supporters, and organisers for making the Pallas Cup an unforgettable event. The day was a resounding success and we extend our gratitude to our long-term clients and close friends. We look forward to hosting you all again next year.
